Postgraduate studies conclude with the realization and presentation of a theater and movement project

Substantive and practical preparation for creative work as a pedagogue of inclusive theatre and inclusive dance theatre in Poland and abroad. The education program implemented in postgraduate studies responds to the needs of the domestic and international labour market.

Postgraduate studies also provide an excellent opportunity for professional retraining for theatre actors and dancers.

Recruitment is underway!

Interviews with candidates will be held on the date set by the university after the group is assembled.

 

The number of places is limited: the admission limit is 30 people. The study will be launched with a minimum of 18 Students.

Required documents:

  • an application form for postgraduate studies;
  • a copy of the first or second degree diploma certified by the university;
  • an identity card or another document confirming the identity of the candidate for studies (in the case of the candidates who are foreigners) available for inspection;
  • 1 signed, up-to-date photograph in accordance with the requirements for issuing identity cards. The printed photograph is submitted by the candidate together with the other documents;
  • a medical certificate stating that there are no contraindications to participation in postgraduate studies.

 

ORGANIZATION OF CLASSES:

In the academic year 2024/2025, postgraduate studies will be conducted in a   hybrid form. Classes will be held in Saturday-Sunday sessions, on average two to three times a month.

Teaching staff

Classes are carried out by a team of highly qualified specialists, scientists and practitioners from Poland and Germany – academic teachers, theatre educators, actors, directors, dancers and choreographers, art therapists and specialists in the organisation of international inclusive artistic and pedagogical projects. Lectures and workshops are held in Polish and English.

dr Alexandr Azarkevitch (Germany / Poland)

Dancer, choreographer, movement director, theatre scholar, culture manager, academic teacher in Germany and Poland. Creator of the dance program at the Faculty of Arts of the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Łódź, with which he was professionally associated in the years 2008–2021.

Dr. Azarkevitch’s academic career at the Academy of Humanities and Economics in Łódź from 2008 to 2021 led through all levels to the position of professor, he also held the duties of the dean of dance faculty. Since the academic year 2021/2022, he has been an academic teacher in the field of Studiengangs Tanz und Theater im Sozialen. Tanzpädagogik / Theaterpädagogik (B.A.) at HKS Ottersberg in Germany (University of Applied Sciences and Arts).

As a choreographer and movement director, he collaborates with many Polish and foreign opera, music, drama, puppet and dance theatres, including: the Musical Theatre in Poznań, the Grand Theatre in Łódź, Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, the Wojciech Bogusławski Theatre in Kalisz, the New Theatre in Słupsk, the Lubuski Theatre in Zielona Góra, the Arlekin Puppet Theatre in Łódź, the Pleciuga Puppet Theatre in Szczecin, the Tadeusz Sygietyński Mazowsze State Folk Song and Dance Ensemble, and the Chemnitz Theatre in Germany.

He is the author of stage movements and choreography, including: the classical operetta “Gypsy Love” to the music of Franciszek Lehár and the Broadway musical “Kiss me Kate” to the music of Cole Porter at the Musical Theatre in Poznań; the opera “Dido and Aeneas” to the music of Henry Purcell at the Grand Theatre in Łódź; the cult Broadway musical “Cabaret” to the music of John Kander at the Witkacy New Theatre in Słupsk; the play “La Strada”. “Das Lied der Strasse” at the Theater Chemnitz in Germany; “Colours” the musical play at the Tadeusz Sygietyński State Folk Song and Dance Ensemble “Mazowsze” and the musical play “Spiritus movens”. Jeremi Przybora’s songs at the Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz.

He is the originator, organizer and movement director of numerous international artistic projects, including the inclusive ones, such as: the international inclusive project “LOG-IN TANZ” in the municipal art gallery “Galerie Kulturhaus” in Berlin and the international inclusive dance performance Boléro to music by Maurice Ravel, which premiered at the headquarters of the Hesse State Representation to the Federation Council in Berlin.
He was invited to lead inclusive dance workshops according to his own program “Ich + Du + Wir = Tanz” within the framework of Inklusionstage in Potsdam, Germany, and to cooperate as a juror and member of the expert committee of dance and choreography festivals and competitions, among others in Argentina, Greece, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, and Italy. From 2002 to 2019 he was the president of the International Association for the Promotion of Choreographic Art named after Sergei Diaghilev in Łódź.

He was the creator and director of the International Competition of Choreographic Art named after Sergei Diaghilev, organized in the years 2002-2012 at the Danuta Baduszkowa Musical Theatre in Gdynia, and then at the Grand Theatre and Musical Theatre in Łódź. He has received many distinctions and awards, including: the Artistic Award of the Mayor of Gdynia in the field of dance; Bronze Medal “Meritorious to Culture Gloria Artis” in the field of dance awarded by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage; Silver Cross of Merit for services to the development of science; Silver Medal for Long Service for exemplary, exceptionally conscientious performance of duties resulting from professional work.

He currently teaches preschool and early school pedagogy in artistic education and is the author and coordinator of the International Postgraduate Program in Inclusive Theatre Pedagogy and Inclusive Dance at Collegium Balticum – Academy of Applied Sciences in Szczecin. He lives permanently in Germany.


✔ dr Barbara Popiel-Kobielska (Poland)

Doctor of Humanities in the field of literary studies, manager of the pedagogy faculty and Plenipotentiary of the Rector for Educational Quality at Collegium Balticum – Academy of Applied Sciences in Szczecin. She has worked as a teacher of Polish language, educator of children and adolescents, trainer of speed reading and memory techniques, participated in cultural, educational and security projects implemented on a national and international scale.

From 2012 to 2017, she worked at the “Pleciuga” Puppet Theatre in Szczecin as a literary secretary, as well as a member of the Festival Office of KONTRAPUNKT – the International Theatre Festival in Szczecin. Currently, she coordinates pedagogical workshops for children aged 5-10 years conducted at the Polish Theatre in Szczecin.

 

 

✔ dr Mateusz Wiszniewski (Poland)
Arteterapeut, Zen Coach, instructor of relaxation exercises (yoga, chi kung), Hawaiian Kino Man body work, improvisation of dance and body symbolism and dance improvisation theatre (the method of Detlef Kappert , the German dancer, choreographer and psychologist). In his work he is inspired by the method of Anna Halprin-Life Art Process, Ruth Zaporah-Action Theatre, Emilie Conrad-Continuum and work with the motion analysis system, derived from the work of Laban and Bartenieff – LBMS – Karen Strud, Agnieszka Sokolowska.
He has been teaching relaxation classes since 1994 and art therapy since 1999.

He is a lecturer at a postgraduate course in art therapy and choreotherapy, and the creator of a one-year training course in personal development through art: the Academy of Expressive Therapies (XXIV completed editions, over 240 graduates). He has been teaching relaxation exercise classes in yoga, chi kung, choreo and music therapy for seniors for seven years on a regular basis.

In 2006, at the University of Łódź, he received his doctorate in the sociology of dance, dedicated to healing dances in various cultures of the world and dance therapy. He is the author of the books: Healing Dance, Dance as Therapy, Relax and Live Creatively, The Power of Visualization.

 

✔ Antonia Keinz (Germany)
Cultural educator and coordinator of cultural, social and inclusive events. For many years, she has been designing and implementing socio-cultural and inclusive projects and events for film productions, theatres, advertising agencies, associations and foundations throughout Germany.

In addition to event management, she specializes in developing concepts, strategies and financing for projects and ventures, including the inclusive ones. For several years, she managed the Kommunales Kontakttheater in Stuttgart, organizing numerous productions and workshops on integration, tolerance and democracy.

She has developed projects for institutions in the cultural and social sectors, including Germany’s only state award, the Landesamateurtheaterpreis LAMATHEA in Baden-Württemberg (an award for outstanding achievements of independent theatres in the following categories: Drama Theatre, Open_Air Theatre, Theatre for Children and Young People, Community Theatre and Puppet Theatre awarded every two years by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts (Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst Baden-Württemberg).

 

✔ Jörg Markowski (Germany)
Pedagogue, literary scholar, academic teacher, originator and coordinator of inclusive educational and cultural projects. He has initiated and implemented numerous inclusive projects in Germany in the fields of art, theatre, literature and education.

As the co-managing director of EbelingMarkowski GbR, he supports German local authorities in the administrative implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. He is the managing director of the institution Haus der Diakonie gGmbH in Wehr-Öflingen, which has been actively promoting inclusive art for years.

 

✔ mgr Justyna Zar (Poland)

Actress, director, graduate of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy. She cooperates with theatres throughout Poland, most recently with Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, Musical Theatre in Toruń, Wrocław Opera and Podlasie Opera and the Philharmonic in Białystok.

She is also a reviewer of Polish and foreign dramatic texts for the Drama and Theatre Agency (ADiT); author of the afterword to Peter Asmussen’s anthology of dramas “Death is another species of music. Selected dramas” (published by ADiT, 2015) and the two-volume anthology of Danish dramas “Cosmic fear or the day Brad Pitt became paranoid” (ADiT, Warsaw, 2021); finalist of the national Master Workshops with Grzegorz Jarzyna at TR Warszawa, master workshops with Jan Peszek, Physiological Voice Training workshops with Dr. Hubert Noé. Resident at Odin Teatret, Denmark and the physical theatre program “Hidden Warrior” developed by Robert Niżnik. In addition to her theatrical education, she also has a degree in music and philosophy (Facoltà di Lettere e Filosofia dell’Università di Pisa).

In addition to theatre, she is widely involved in personal development (therapist in the process of certification), voice training, body and breath work. She is passionate about the Italian language and Italian culture.

 

 

mgr Marta Gosecka (Poland)
Polish philologist, culture expert, theatre instructor, urban activist, theatre teacher at the Contemporary Theatre in Szczecin. For over a dozen years she has been running youth theatre groups, which are characterised by openness and diversity – people with various disabilities have worked or are working in these groups.

She has completed several city projects including: “Project Stadium”, “Birthday – happening action”, “My little masterpiece” in cooperation with the Art Gallery “TWORZĘ SIĘ “ for children and young people in Szczecin. Since 2017, she has been associated with the program Very Young Culture of the National Cultural Centre in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, and in 2019-2021 she was the program content coordinator. She is also the originator of the Summer Academy of Cultural Education in Czaplinek and Further Together – the Cultural Education Program in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

In cooperation with NGOs, she co-creates activities to deepen the knowledge of human rights. She conducts workshops on empowering children and young people in educational and cultural activities, as well as anti-discrimination workshops. She is currently working on an ongoing basis with the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw and the Zbigniew Pełczyński School of Leaders Foundation.

 

mgr Magdalena Bogusławska (Poland)

Theatre teacher, theatre instructor, gerontopedagogue, laughter yoga instructor and sensory art trainer. She completed pedagogical studies in the field of social work, care and re-socialization pedagogy at the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Szczecin and postgraduate studies in the field of gerontopedagogy at the Pomeranian Medical University in Szczecin.

Participant of the Theatre Pedagogues School and the School Theatre Partners project at the Zbigniew Raszewski Theatre Institute in Warsaw. Participant of the Archipelago of Generations and Designing Old Age courses of the Association of Creative Initiatives “ę”. She led theatre workshops for children in schools, kindergartens, community centres and for adults (including Rymań and Kołobrzeg as part of the Government Program for the Social Activity of the Elderly).

At the Puppet Theatre “Pleciuga” in Szczecin, she coordinates and conducts artistic education classes, theatre and art workshops for children and young people, and prepares methodological notebooks “I love theatre”, intended for theatre education at school.
She has participated in artistic and educational projects implemented by the “Pleciuga” Puppet Theatre in Szczecin, such as: the KONTRAPUNKT International Theatre Festival, “Theatrical Week of the Child”, “Puppet Play”. She is the author and coordinator of the projects “Summer in the Theatre”, “Teacher in front of the Curtain”, “Wide Open Theatre”, “Closer to Nature”, “Proximity Olympics”. The last three projects were implemented under a grant from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the “Accessible Culture” program.

 

 

mgr Ewelina Rożek-Jaworska (Poland/Germany)

Conductor; she has completed studies in the field of symphonic and opera conducting and artistic education in the field of musical art – choral conducting, as well as courses and training related to artistic education of children. She undertakes musical cooperation with Polish and foreign theatres and operas.

She conducts choirs of Szczecin universities and school choirs, also she teaches music in Polish and German schools. At Collegium Balticum – Academy of Applied Sciences in Szczecin, she teaches music and music education methodology in the field of preschool and early school pedagogy.

Certificate

A prerequisite for graduation from postgraduate studies is attendance in classes, obtaining a passing grade in classes, passing all examinations and completing professional internships provided for in   the study plan, as well as obtaining a passing grade in the diploma exam (public presentation of  an inclusive theatre and dance project).

Certificate of completion of postgraduate studies issued by Collegium Balticum – Academy of Applied Sciences in Szczecin in Polish, English or German.
